INZOI Modding Contest

As part of the integration of CurseForge with inZOI, CurseForge is running this contest, inviting you to create Mods on the CurseForge platform for inZOI.

The inZOI Modding Contest is a dynamic contest designed to inspire and showcase the talents of the inZOI modding community.

Below is a brief overview of the qualifications for entering and participating in the contest. Afterward, you will find the full and official rules governing the contest. Please take the time to read the official rules carefully.

TIMETABLE:

• Start Date: June 19th - Participants may begin submitting their entries.
• End Date: July 31st - The final date for participants to submit their entries.
• Winners Announcement: August 7th

SUBMISSION CATEGORIES:

The contest will be running with two main categories:

• Full Dress sets: Includes all mods that contain full dress items. 5 mods in this category will be selected as grand winners.
• Furniture: Includes all mods that contain placable house items. 5 mods in this category will be selected as grand winners.

WINNERS AND PRIZES:

The contest consists of Grand Prizes, Most Contributing Creators, and Community Favorites. All prizes and rewards are based on skill. We or the community (all depending on the type of reward) will judge and select the winning mods.

This contest includes the following prizes:

• Grand Prize Winners: $600 per winner for the Full Dress and Furniture categories (10 total winners)
• Most Contributing Creators: To keep the contest going and reward as many authors as possible, CurseForge will hold two Most Contributing Creators rounds, awarding the 3 creators with the most approved mods submitted during the contest $150 each, totaling 6 additional winners.
• Community Favorites: inZOI players are also invited to take part in the event by casting their votes for their favorite mods! For the duration of the contest, the community will vote on their favorite submissions. The Community Favorites winners will be awarded $800 per winner (5 total winners). To cast your vote, join the CurseForge Discord server and follow the specially made contest submissions channel. Winning submissions will be rated by the number of reactions.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

1. Sign up as a CurseForge Mod Author: https://authors.curseforge.com/welcome/
2. Publish your mod on CurseForge, and make sure it complies with the contest requirements (See “Submission Requirements” below for more information).
3. Fill out the submission form
4. Modders may publish and submit as many mods as they’d like.
5. By submitting a mod to this Contest, you acknowledge and agree that, if your entry is selected as a Grand Prize or Community Vote winner, the Mod (or an adapted version of it) may be incorporated as an official in-game preset in inZOI pursuant to Section 8.2 below.

JUDGING:

• Judges’ Picks (Grand Prize Winners): A panel of judges, consisting of judges from the modding community and CurseForge, would select the mods they rated the most among the submissions.
• Most submissions (Most Contributing Creators Winners): Creators with the most approved mods submitted during the contest at the time of judging will be chosen.
• Community Picks (Community Favorites Winners): Chosen by the most liked (by reactions) mod on CurseForge’s Discord server.

The Panel of Judges will select the winners and winning creations based on 30% Originality, which will evaluate how creative, new, and unique the mod is; 30% "Fun Factor," which will evaluate whether the mod is fun to play with; 30% visual aesthetic aspect, which will evaluate whether the mod is "eye-catching"; and 10% Downloads, which will determine the number of downloads the mod has accumulated so far. Authors cannot win more than once per judging category.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

• You need to have a CurseForge Author Account and accept the terms and conditions.
• You will need to review, approve, and comply with the Official Contest Rules attached below.
• All submitted creations must adhere to CurseForge Moderation Policies and inZOI’s Specific Moderation Policies. This includes restrictions on the use of protected intellectual property, prohibitions on nudity, etc.
• Don’t publish duplicated mods, and don’t publish other people’s work as your own. Prioritize publishing creations that add value to the player community.
• Note that all mods submitted to CurseForge undergo a moderation process, which could lead to a delay of a few days from submission to publication.
• When publishing your creations, ensure they are accurately categorized. For instance, do not categorize “Furniture” under “Full Dress” or vice versa.
• Failure to meet any of the requirements set forth below in the official rules may lead to disqualification of your submission or revocation of any winnings.

inZOI Modding Contest OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

This inZOIModding Contest (“Contest” or “ Promotion,” as applicable) is sponsored and operated solely by Overwolf Ltd., including its affiliates, subsidiaries, and respective employees, officers, and directors (collectively “Sponsor”)

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE OR A PAYMENT OF ANY KIND DOES NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

This Contest is subject to all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Participation in the Contest constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to these official rules (the “Rules”) as well as the CurseForge Mod Author Terms and Conditions, available at: https://legal.overwolf.com/docs/curseforge/mod-authors-terms (the “CurseForge Mod Author Terms”), which are accepted upon creation of a CurseForge account.

Any Capitalized terms not defined herein shall have the same meaning set forth in the CurseForge Mod Author Terms.

This contest is in no way sponsored or administered by KRAFTON, Inc. or any of its affiliates. Entrants are providing their information to Sponsor.

1. ELIGIBILITY.

This Contest is open to all individuals, who: (i) have an active Mod Author Account on the CurseForge Platform or have signed up and created such an account in order to participate in the Contest (registration can be made here: https://authors.curseforge.com/welcome/ ); (ii) are at least 18 years old or at or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever is greater.

Employees of Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and any agencies involved in the administration of the Contest, as well as the immediate family (spouses, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee, are not eligible to participate. The Contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.

2. RULE AND AGREEMENTS.

By participating in this Contest, you agree to comply with these Rules and all decisions made by the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Winning a prize is subject to continued compliance with:
(i) these Official Rules,
(ii) the CurseForge Mod Author Terms,
(iii) the CurseForge Moderation Policies, and
(iv) any applicable Community Guidelines on the CurseForge platform
(collectively, the “Rules and Agreements”).

All submitted Mods will be reviewed for compliance with the above. The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any Mod, entry, or participant found in violation of these Rules and Agreements. The Sponsor may also remove any Mod submitted to the Contest and revoke any previously granted prizes if a violation is discovered.

3. PROMOTION PERIOD.

Start Date: June 19th, 2025

End Date: July 31st, 2025

("Promotion Period").

Announcement: The Sponsor will announce the Grand Prize winners at or around August 7th, 2025.

Prizes must be accepted as awarded. No cash or other substitution will be permitted, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize or component thereof with another prize of equal or greater valuePrizes will only be awarded to the verified Mod Author account holder who submitted the entry.

The Sponsor reserves the right to modify, extend, suspend, or terminate the Promotion if it determines, that the Promotion is technically impaired or corrupted or that fraud or technical problems, failures or malfunctions, or other causes beyond the Sponsor’s control have destroyed or severely undermined or to any degree impaired the integrity, administration, security, proper play, and/or feasibility of the Promotion as contemplated herein.

4. HOW TO ENTER?

Submit the applicable Mods (as applicable) by using the official Contest form available here (“Form”) during the Promotion Period. The entry must fulfill the contest requirements, as specified above (i.e., the applicable number of mods, criteria, etc.), to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete or submitted without following the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

You must fill in all the information requested in the Form, accurately and truthfully. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the Rules, your entry may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. However, there is no limitation on the number of Mods submitted, therefore, you can, under the same Account and email address, add and submit as many mods as you wish. The Mods submitted need to be different, duplicated Mods will be disqualified.

Please note: even if you submit multiple Mods, you are only eligible to win one prize of each type (see below).

5. TYPE OF PRIZES AND AWARDS.

The total prize pool for the Contest is $10,900 USD, distributed across the following categories:

5.1. Judges’ Selection Prizes:

• A panel of judges will select the top 5 mods in each of the two official categories:
  • Full Dress Sets
  • Furniture
• A total of 10 winners, each receiving $600 USD
• Total: $6,000 USD

5.2. Community Vote Prizes

• The broader inZOI community will vote via Discord to select 5 favorite mods from all entries.
• Each selected winner will receive $800 USD Total: $4,000 USD

5.3. Mid-Contest Activity Prizes

• At two points during the Contest (Week 2 and Week 4), a prize will be awarded to authors with the most valid mod submissions at that time.
• 3 winners will be selected in each round.
• Each winner will receive $150 USD
• Total: $900 USD

5.4. Each Winning Mod that is adopted as an inZOI official preset will receive the following non-cash benefits:

• In-game “Mod Creator Trophy” – a vanity item associated with the creator’s inZOI account.
• Creator Spotlight – a feature post on official inZOI and CurseForge social channels and on the mod canvas.
• Credits Listing – a permanent mention of the creator’s Mod Author name in the inZOI game credits.

Contest participants are eligible to win only one prize per prize type (i.e., one Judges’ Prize, one Community Vote Prize, and one Mid-Contest Prize).

All prize amounts are pre-tax and will be paid out in accordance with applicable tax laws and reporting obligations. Winners may be required to provide additional information for prize disbursement and compliance.

Winning Mods are subject to the Preset Licence (as defined below). Except for Winning Mods integrated under the Preset Licence, prizes do not confer any official in-game status. Integration of a Winning Mod as an official in-game preset will not entitle the creator to any payment beyond the cash prizes described above.

SELECTION OF WINNERS.

6.1. Judging Panel.

A panel of judges composed of Sponsor representatives and community experts will evaluate all eligible mod submissions in two categories: Full Dress Sets and Furniture. The judges will select the top 5 mods in each category, based on the following criteria:
(a) Originality – Creativity, novelty, uniqueness of the Mod (30%)
(b) Enjoyability - the playability aspect of the Mod and its fit for the inZOI experience (30%)
(c) visual aesthetic aspect of the creation (30%)
(d) Popularity – will be evaluated by the number of downloads of the Mod on CurseForge at the time of judging (10%)

6.2. Community Vote

Throughout the Promotion Period, eligible mod submissions will be published to the official as they are reviewed and approved by the Sponsor’s team. The community may vote for their favorite mods at any time during the Promotion Period.

At the end of the Promotion Period, the Sponsor will determine the five (5) mods with the highest number of valid community votes, regardless of category. These mods will receive the Community Vote prizes.

The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any votes that appear to be fraudulent, automated (including bots), or otherwise in violation of the Contest Rules. Any attempt to manipulate the vote may result in disqualification of the entry and/or participant.

In the event of a tie, the Sponsor may consider factors such as download numbers and engagement or conduct a final judging round to break the tie at its sole discretion.

7. WINNERS NOTIFICATIONS.

The Sponsor will announce the Contest winners on or around August 7th, 2025, through official CurseForge communication channels, including Discord, Twitter and the CurseForge website.

The Sponsor will attempt to notify winners using the email address associated with their CurseForge Mod Author account. Participants are responsible for ensuring their contact information is accurate and up to date.

Winners will be required to provide any necessary information to process prize payments, including payment and tax details, where applicable. If a winner does not respond within a reasonable timeframe, fails to provide the requested information, or is found in violation of these Rules, the Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify that winner and select an alternate.

This section is only applicable to eligible entrants who qualify for a reward and have not been disqualified for attempting to circumvent the rules as determined by the Sponsor. Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner(s) via email or through the Mod Author Account on or about the end of the Promotion Period. If you are eligible for a prize or reward, you will be notified, and you will then be able to redeem your prize as follows: (i) the redemption is by and through CurseForge Authors Rewards Program (“Reward Program”) and is subject to the Reward Program Terms of Service; (ii) your Account will be reimbursed with points equal or higher to the amount you have won. Acceptance of any prize constitutes acceptance of the Preset Licence

Where required under applicable laws, each Winner shall be solely responsible for all federal, state, and/or local taxes, and the reporting consequences thereof, and for any other fees or costs associated with the Prize or any applicable prize.

ANY VIOLATION OF THESE RULES BY ANY WINNER (AT THE SPONSOR'S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN THE WINNER'S DISQUALIFICATION AS A WINNER OF THE CONTEST.

8. RIGHTS IN SUBMISSIONS & PRESET USAGE.

By submitting a mod to this Contest, you grant the Sponsor and its affiliates a worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, and non-exclusive license to use, display, modify (for marketing or presentation purposes only), and distribute your submitted mod(s), in whole or in part, for promotional, marketing, and publicity purposes related to the inZOI game and the CurseForge platform.

If your Mod is selected as a Grand Prize or Community Vote winner (a “Winning Mod”), you further grant both Sponsor and KRAFTON, Inc. (together, the “Preset Licensees”) a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free licence to (a) incorporate the Winning Mod, in whole or in part, as an official in-game preset or downloadable content for inZOI; (b) make technical updates, localisation, or quality-of-life adjustments that do not materially change the creative essence of the Winning Mod; (c) feature the Winning Mod in official videos or promotional content, including trailers, developer diaries, livestreams, and social-media posts; (d) use screenshots, footage, or other derivatives of the Winning Mod in marketing campaigns or related materials (digital or print) that advertise inZOI, the Contest, or CurseForge. This Preset Licence is granted on a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free basis. Other than the non-monetary recognition rewards set out above, no additional monetary compensation or revenue share will be paid for any present or future use of the Winning Mod inside or in connection with inZOI. By participating in the Contest, entrants acknowledge and accept this compensation structure in full.

This license includes the right to use your mod and your publicly displayed Mod Author name in promotional materials, contest announcements, videos, social posts, or other forms of marketing and communication.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you waive any right of integrity or similar “moral rights” with respect to minor edits needed for game-engine compatibility or localisation. Where commercially reasonable, the Preset Licensees will endeavour to consult you when material modifications are contemplated. Except for the licences expressly granted above, all intellectual property rights in your Mod remain with you. Nothing herein transfers ownership.

For the avoidance of doubt, all Mods remain user-generated content and are not deemed official inZOI assets unless and until they become Winning Mods subject to the Preset Licence as set forth above. Integration as described herein is the sole exception that permits a Mod to be included in the game as an official preset.

You agree that the Sponsor may make minor visual edits or adjustments for showcasing your mod (such as adding branding or merging clips for trailers), and you waive any “moral rights” or similar rights to the extent permitted by law.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.

The Sponsor will not be liable in case of (i) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware or software; (ii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions or telephone or Internet service; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (iv) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; (v) failure of Sponsor to supply/provide the Prize or any part thereof, by any reason of any act of God, fire, natural disaster accident, or act of government, or any other cause beyond the Sponsor’s sole control; (vi) incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Promotion; and (vii) for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, theft or destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries.

10. Publicity Rights.

By entering the Contest, participants consent to the use of their name, mod name, and any associated images or content for promotional purposes by the Sponsor, in any media, worldwide, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

11. Disqualifications & Conduct

The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant who tampers with the submission process, violates these Rules, or engages in conduct that is abusive, offensive, or disruptive to the Contest or its community.
